I really like this idea! Follow Friday has become such an irritation to me that I was barely even on Twitter today. To me Twitter is not about getting as many followers as I can but more about personal connection. If I follow someone it's because I saw something interesting in a tweet convo with another friend or they just looked interesting. I'm not going to follow someone just because someone suggested that I do, especially without a reason as to why I should follow this person. FF has become a promotional/marketing game and I'm tired of it and likely to unfollow someone who fills up their entire Friday with follow suggestions and RT of the same.

Kudos to you and others that take the time to suggest WHY you follow the people you do!! I really hope that this "trend" picks up and FF dies down, or even goes away completely.
