Android Does Questions
This came about from a random comment from @whatsupandroid on twitter earlier today. They are talking about the newest upgrade. I believe it’s called flan? Haven’t they taken the whole food thing as upgrade far enough? Cupcake, donut, flan. Is it any wonder we’re so fat as a society, when even our tech revolves around food? Anyway, enough of that. So I was invited to post in an Android forum. Below is my actual post copied here.(it’s mine I can do what I want with it) Next upgrade: Im happy that Android fixed all those pesky email and contact issues. They also “improved the marketplace. I personally never had any issues navigating it. The new update is certainly pretty. Not sure if that’s what they were going for or not. We’ve been promised Flash for a long time. I see a lot of dissenting opinions about that. It’s outdated, it’s not worthwhile etc. What about websites that demand you have flash player installed? I run into a lot of them. If you want to say this is an internet ready phone, then you must include a full flash player. Like it or not flash is an integral part of the web. I would also like better memory management. I get that they are limited in terms of available internal space. Fine. Give me the option of where to store things. I can have what is it, up to an 8gb mini xd card? If that’s the case, allow me to choose what I store there. Having apps only on the internal memory is pointless. I can have only a small # of apps, if I want something else I must decide what to uninstall, download the new app, try it out etc. If i don’t like it(as is the case with many apps) I have to uninstall that as well. If I had 8 gigs, I wouldn’t have to jump through all these hoops. end post So, I know I can root the phone and add whatever altered OS I want. That’s all good. it’s supposed to be easy to do. I would be the 1% that screws up my phone. And being that I am not made of money, I can’t afford to buy a replacement, or pay tech support to fix it. I look forward to her forum being a whopping success. She tweets great stuff everyday, and Im happy to call her my friend. Plus she’s cute, yanno, for a green bot. Her site can be found here. Android VIP Go check it out, now. When you sign up, say hi. Also, if you want more info on rooting your Android, look HERE. That was from entering “Root an Android phone” into google. As you can see there is no end to the amount of info. As always, you do so at your own risk, and most likely void your phones warranty. I take no responsibility for your idiocy.

Good call, I’ve received the low memory warning a couple of times and had to delete apps I liked for apps I really need.

I’ve always liked the layout of this blog. So easy to read and focus on the post! I hear ya. I guess we just have to keep bugging HTC to give their customers the appropriate upgrade that’s needed.
I appreciate you posting on the VIP BackDoor Forum that hasn’t even publicly launched yet
Thanks to you for providing a topic that people would definitely reply to! Going to try to get someone from HTC to give you an answer. Lol …
Guess the only solution for now would be to Root the phone as @captivation said.
Glad to be part of the Android Movement with you.

Flan is delicious. I can’t eat it, because I am trying to NOT be fat, but it’s awesome. I’d like to comment on all the smart stuff you say here, but I’m not smart and we both know it.

Your blog is one of my favorites. I look forward to reading new posts from you. Also no one is rushing to “Ask Iggy” anything.
