The following is my opinions, and see how you are reading my blog I am entitled to my opinions and therefore as opinions they by definition cannot be wrong.
Each year, I see sales figures for Halloween at target, walmart etc. They seem to be growing, despite the bad economy. So, if there is more candy, decorations crap being sold wtf is it? It’s not in the town I live in. I realize it’s a mix of retirees and younger umm new arrival families. So, I get it, you’re old, retired, don’t give a fuck. I get that. I also get that you may be a new arrival from some other 3rd world hovel place that’s not America. So, perhaps it’s a cultural thing? That’s fine too, up to a point. That point being that you send your kids out to others houses and do nothing at home. What the hell is that? Gimme gimme gimme, but don’t come to my door. Bullshit.
I can also appreciate people that decorate their house. Some people go all out, graveyards, scary things on the steps etc. All well and good. But, why decorate and not give out candy. I cannot wrap my head around that. Maybe you just like the way it looks? I don’t know. Mostly this is bitching and venting. Maybe I need a beer.
I know there is no rule about this,and people are entitled to be assholes not do anything for this day. What bothers me, is these are people that, as kids, probably went out trick or treating and now have no interest anymore. I think it’s sad. On a side note, ad I know many have talked about this. WTF is with the slutty mc slut outfits. What asshole let’s their preteen child dress in such tasteless costumes? You can try and justify it by saying it’s normal or that’s what they sell. They sell this dreck because people(like you) continue to buy it.
In closing, thank you, all of you that still care. I saw one house tonight in the Heights area that restored my faith. Thank you especially.
